L3ah does this, L3ah does that

That’s it, I’m outta here.

After 5 months of what I thought would be a dream job, I’m quitting.

Things started to go bad after week 3 and I thought I could stick it out until the end of the year. I just couldn’t take it anymore. I just kept thinking things couldn’t possibly get worse, then they would. Hopefully my agency will find me a better job soon. I’m really scared of the in between time and not making money. But it has to be better than hating waking up in the morning every day.

I’ve been busy not hating stuff too.

My office/knitting room/guest room is finally put together. Shelves & pictures still need to be hung but random crap is off the floor and we were able to have some friends stay over comfortably. (yes, I can hear you all say “pictures!”, let me steal Evan’s camera and I’ll get on that shortly)

I also celebrated my 4 year anniversary. We wanted to have a fancy dinner so it was my job to find every freaking fancy restaurant in the area that we would want to go to. There are way too many french restaurants around with menus I can’t read or understand. We ended up at Ruth’s Chris (yes, I want to fix the grammatical error but that’s what they call it). I made the reservation online and said it was our first time there and it was for a special occasion so they comp’ed our dessert :)  The food isn’t as good as The Met but I liked what I ate.

Last weekend we had plans to go to Bollywood night at Neumos with some friends. Suprisingly I didn’t want to be the first ones there (cause you look lame) so we waited till 9:30 to head out. We drove by at 10 looking for parking and got worried because there was no line, no one waiting out side, no smoking section (not that we smoke). I got worried that the event was canceled, when we walked up it was dead inside! I peaked into the one uncovered window to see maybe 10 people on the dance floor. I was not about to pay a cover charge if no one was coming.

We decided to walk around Capitol Hill to see what else was happening. We ended up at R Place. Neither of us had been before (actually, our friends never go out, no clubs or concerts). Thankfully the cover was cheaper and it had just the right amount of people inside. The bar lines weren’t long and you had enough room to dance.  We talked to a really funny drunk lesbian playing pool while we were taking a breather. I had too much to drink (why does Tequila want to be my friend) and tried to remain conscious and not puke on the ride home (it seems to only be the car rides that make me sick).  I felt fine later.

We’ve seen some movies lately too. We had free passes to the premier of Son of Ranbow (yes that’s spelled right). It’s a cute British movie about 2 boys becoming friends and making a movie about Rambo for a contest. You can tell that the “bad boy” in the movie will go on to bigger and better roles, he was really good.

We saw the Harold & Kumar sequel with some friends. It just wasn’t as good as the first (most sequels aren’t), but still funny.

We just watched Severance the othe rnight. I thought it was going to be more funny than scary (like Shawn of the Dead). I was wrong. Pretty gruesome in parts but thankfully it ends well.

I’ve also joined the gym near our house. (go me!). I used their free 2 week trial pass and liked how empty the place is. The equipment is nice, new, and clean. They don’t have bosu balls like Bally’s does but i heard they’re getting them. I only want to go for a few months because the goal is to clean out the garage and get an elliptical for myself. I’m also trying to keep track of which days I go to the gym to see if I’m getting my money’s worth.
